I used to binge.
So I would restrict my calories even more cause I though that I ate too much.
Little did I know that my binging was BECAUSE I wasn't eating enough.
Bingeing is a RESULT of restriction according to Binge Eating Recovery coach Natalie Zises.
Unfortunately many women do what I did... restrict or diet even more after binges which worsens the problem. In many cases your body is bingeing because it is lacking nutrients and calories and so your body "forces" you to eat copious amounts of food to keep you a live.
With the ever increasing amounts of diets and dieting culture telling us to "eat less" more and more women find them selves fist deep into the family size chip bag and the pint of Ben and Jerry's night after night after night.
