I had the honor of talking with Degreed Sports Nutritionist Kyla Chanelle, on the dangers of dipping into energy deficit. She works 1:1 with athletes workout and fuel smarter to avoid or heal from RED-S and consequently for many women, get their period back.
This conversation was fascinating to me as I have incurred quite the energy deficit myself after 11 years of eating disorders and abusing exercise to maintain a small body weight.
