How I got my Period Back (video)

In today's video, I share the top reasons why I lost my period because they are most likely why you lost yours too, and how I got it back after 11 years!

Losing your period has some serious consequences like osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative diseases and more. Needless to say, having a healthy menstrual cycle is not just for your fertility.

Taking those steps to get your period back is essential for your overall state of health and wellbeing.

If you're dealing with an eating disorder, in quasi recovery, or struggling with disordered eating FULL recovery cannot happen if your period is still MIA. If your body is fully nutritionally rehabilitated and you're not engaging in eating disorder behaviors, your will come back (unless there is another medical issue that is preventing you from menstruating or if you have a genetic condition).

While getting your period back is not a sure sign that you are nutritionally rehabilitated and have fully recovered, it most definitely is a sign that you still are in quasi recovery if you're NOT menstruating.

I made the mistake of thinking that I was recovered for many years even though I was not menstruating. Unfortunately, while quasi recovery is better than no recovery, IT IS NOT RECOVERED. If you are in quasi recovery your body has not had the opportunity to repair a lot of the damage that was done in the depth of the years you loved in an energy deficit, mainly because quasi recovery means you are still in energy debt!

For you to be experiencing the full benefits of recovery, a period is a must.

I hope my story can be an inspiration to you and help give you that push to go all in and get your period back :)

Although this journey is hard, I have not yet come across someone who didn't think that going all in was worth it and regretted full recovery.
