With all the craziness going on right now with Coronavirus I have had a lot of clients reach out to me saying that they are anxious and scared about everything going on-- Social distancing, isolation, shops, and restaurants closing down, restrictions on the amount of food you can buy, crazy grocery store lines, NO MORE TOILET PAPER.... like anywhere.

This is a weird time to be alive that is for sure.

Regardless of what's going on in the world through your commitment to recovery should not disappear amongst the panic buying and social distancing. This is a great time for you to take a step back from your life and look at what matters most to you. It's times like this where you begin to look at what you have been prioritizing in your life and re-adjust to make sure that what you have been focusing on is of true importance. Use this solitude to your advantage. The world is pressing the pause button, something that rarely if ever happens, so don't miss out on this time to sit quietly and reflect.

I know for me the idea of having to have six-pack abs and a thigh gap seems ridiculous right now. What matters most to me at this moment is that my family members are safe and that I can help my loved ones. If I were to die I wouldn't want to be remembered for my skinny body... I would want to be remembered for my passion, smile, compassion, and kindness.

I know that because this is anxiety-provoking time as everything is changing that your initial reaction may be to want to restrict again but read carefully --RESTRICTION IS NOT WHAT YOUR BODY NEEDS RIGHT NOW.

Of all things, your body NEEDS food right now to be strong to potentially fight off any disease or virus that comes your way. Being in a state of energy deficiency, malnourishment of over-training will lower your immune system and make you more vulnerable to illness.

So make sure that you are eating consistently and calorically enough food during this time along with getting plenty of rest.
